Sigil Pools and Their Communities

Sigil Pools offer users a unique opportunity to generate yield alongside a community. Although engaging with a pool's community is optional and won't directly affect your profit as an investor, doing so can enhance your investing experience.

Pool managers or owners are responsible for leading the community and providing platforms for communication, such as group chats, announcement channels, or social pages. These can be found in the top right corner of a pool's page. If a pool owner doesn't add links to these platforms in their pool settings page, they won't appear on the pool page. As a pool owner, you can generate passive income while leading a vibrant community!

Pool Wars

Pool Wars is Sigil Finance's flagship competition—a fortnightly pool trading contest that focuses on promoting the platform, pool managers, investors, and their communities. Pool Wars serves as a way to market and increase the adoption of Sigil Finance while giving back to the community through valuable prizes. Participating in Pool Wars is a fantastic way to grow a pool's community and membership.

Competitors in Pool Wars are Sigil Pools and their communities. The prize pool, criteria, and time frame of these competitions may vary between each iteration of Pool Wars.

Pool Wars 1

• Start date: April 10th, 2023

• Duration: 4 weeks, until May 8th, 2023

• Criteria: Pool size by ETH value

• Prize: 1% of total Sigil Finance platform volume, collected over the contest duration

• Distribution: 50% to pool owner, 50% to pool investors

  • 1st place: 60% of the prize pool

  • 2nd place: 30% of the prize pool

  • 3rd place: 10% of the prize pool

The regular Pool Wars competitions will kick off with a massive, nearly one-month-long contest featuring an incredible prize pool! While subsequent Pool Wars will have predefined prize pools, Pool Wars 1 will accumulate its prize pool over a four-week period. The Sigil Finance development team receives a 1% fee from each transaction on the platform. During Pool Wars 1, this fee will instead be added directly to the prize pool.

Pool Wars 1 will see pools compete to achieve the highest total ETH value on the platform. Both pool owners and investors must work together to grow their pool through wise management and attracting investors.
